Students are expected to have 18 credits in NCEA Level 2 Te Reo M膩ori or discuss their suitability with TIC M腻辞谤颈.

Course Outline:

E ng膩 korokoro t奴墨 o te reo M膩ori, e mihi ana au ki a koutou e whai tonu ana i t膿nei taonga o 艒 t膩tou t墨puna. This course is a continuation from MAO201, during which students will continue to build on the four language skills. The primary focus is to develop a practical confidence across reading, writing, listening and speaking.

  • Whakaora i te reo  - Language revitalization.
  • Tangata Rongonui - Famous people.
  • Te Ao Wh膩nui - The wider world.

This course offers 3 internal assessments and 2 external assessments.

  • K艒rero kia whakamahi i te reo M膩ori o te ao wh膩nui 鈥 a portfolio of speaking assessments.
  • Waihanga tuhinga whai take i te reo M膩ori o te ao wh膩nui - a portfolio of writing assessments
  • Whakarongo kia m艒hio ki te reo M膩ori o te ao wh膩nui  鈥 a portfolio of listening assessments.
  • Tuhi i te reo M膩ori te ao wh膩nui 鈥 External written assessment.
  • P膩nui i te reo M膩ori o te ao wh膩nui鈥 External reading comprehension assessment.
