Entry Recommendations:

Students should discuss their suitability with the HOD M膩ori.  No prior experience of performing arts, or knowledge of M膩ori language needed.

Course Outline:

Waihora taniwha, Waihora moana! Ka tuku te mihi maioha ki a koutou, a warm greeting to you all.

This course gives students an opportunity to experience the different aspects of Kapahaka, M膩ori Performing Arts. Students will be able to learn the history of the local area, and the origins of M膩ori Performing Arts through m艒teatea, waiata, poi, haka, and waiata 膩-ringa.

Assessment:

 There are 2 internal assessments and 2 external assessments offered in this course. All standards offered are Achievement Standards, and this is a University Entrance subject.
